3) Special issue "Air Pollution and Plant Ecosystems" in the open access journal Climate.

Climate is an open access journal which in already included in Scopus and the Web of Science (emerging sources science citation index). It is expected to have an impact factor in the next few years. The journal started in 2013 and has already published more than 260 high quality papers, including numerous special issues, with 15 special issues having being published only in 2018. Climate is published by mdpi. Mdpi publishes 194 journals in total. All mdpi journals have an impact factor (except the very new which have not yet). Examples of journals include Forests, Sustainability, and Nutrients.

Climate is a sponsor of this conference and, in addition to the sponsorship for facilitating the organization of the conference, offers waiving of publication fee for a few accepted papers that will be selected from the guest editors. Priority will be given first to papers whose authors are located in developing countries and second to those whose authors have no available funds for publishing. Publication fees waiving will be applied for authors in need on a first-come first-served basis given that the authors mention their request upon manuscript submission. All the other accepted papers will have a 20% discount on the original article processing charge which is 550 CHF.

Officially accepted papers will receive an MDPI's in-house basic English editing service free of charge. However, this service only includes checking grammar, spelling and some improvement of style where necessary. In cases where the text would need substantial improvement, the guest editors suggest candidate authors to have a proof-reading  for native English-speaker colleagues or friends.

The Guest Editors invite papers that promote and advance the exciting and rapidly-changing field of Air Pollution and Plant Ecosystems. Papers which exclusively deal with any aspects of tropospheric ozone or other air pollutants (physics-chemistry) are also welcome. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Since this special issue welcomes also contributions from outside the conference, it is now open for submission (more information here).

The deadline for submissions is extended to 30th June, 2019
