Flights

From Amerigo Vespucci Airport (Florence)

​

Florence’s Amerigo Vespucci airport (00 39 055 306 1300; aeroporto.firenze.it), also known as Peretola. With luggage, a taxi into the centre should cost around €25.

The “Vola in Bus” line (ataf.net) runs into the central coach station (next to Santa Maria Novella train station) in around half an hour, leaving every 30 minutes (tickets €6/€10 return).

From Galileo Galilei Airport (Pisa)

​

Pisa’s Galileo Galilei airport (00 39 050 849 300; pisa-airport.com) is connected to Florence via a bus service run by Autostradale (autostradale.it) up to 20 times per day (tickets €7.50 single, journey time 75 minutes). Frequent trains also run between Pisa Centrale station and Florence Santa Maria Novella (journey time an hour).

From Bologna Airport

​

Bologna’s G. Marconi airport (00 39 051 -6479615; website) is connected to Florence via shuttle bus ( Appennino shuttle ) tickets 20 euros full price, travel time around 90 minutes.

Trains

​

Firenze Santa Maria Novella is the main and central station of Florence. For train times: http://www.trenitalia.com/trenitalia.

​

Firenze Campo di Marte or Firenze Rifredi stations are the other stations of Florence, they are reachable by train from Santa Maria Novella in around five minutes.
